GURDJIEFF: HIS LIFE AND WORK
This lecture and discussion was recorded at Friends House in Oxford in March 1973 during the time of the Third Basic Course at Sherborne House. The event was open to the public. The talk begins with an account of Gurdjieff’s life based upon information gathered for the writing of his “Gurdjieff: Making a New World”, and broadens into a general account of Gurdjieff’s teachings. The recording includes a very clear and lucid discussion of some subtle notions and includes a number of personal anecdotes not recorded elsewhere.
